mikkel loves snakes. like a lot. no surprise there; he spends more time hiking in the jungle than staying in town. he likes the colors of the jungle-smells better than all the vibrantly colored perfume and spice smells that permeate the streets of his home town. in fact, he spends so much time in the jungle that all but a few of his friends are nagas. snake people that typically keep to themselves and don’t usually interact with outsiders.
mikkel’s naga friends taught him how to easily tame any wild snake, so for a long while he would just sorta… wear a snake home and then release it again before dinner. he never did it on a regular basis, he just did it when he felt like it. So he’d go out hiking in the morning, catch himself a snake and drape it around his neck like a scarf (he likes scarves too, i usually draw him wearing one) then he’d come home for lunch and make a lot of people do double-takes as he walked past them with a living scarf. his mother was terribly furious the first few times this happened, but she quickly learned to just tolerate it. after lunch, mikkel goes back out to the jungle and releases the snake before he heads home again for dinner and bed.
through this method (which he did only on very randomly chosen days) he ended up learning a lot about the snakes in his local area. eventually, he did save up some money and buy himself a pet ball python, pictured here. her name is Kerikil, which means “pebbles” in Indonesian.
I would’ve liked to use Hindi or another Indian language, but i have only google translate and i cannot phonetically read anything that doesn’t have a latin-esque alphabet. I do take some pride in my ability to guess word pronunciations fairly accurately, but if it’s not in a script that i can read there’s just nothing i can do.. ah the sorrows of wanting to write diverse characters but only being fluent in English…
(Kerikil is an adorable name anyway, so i’m keeping it)

Filed under winks art winks oc it's a fantasy land i am totally allowed to mix real life things to create a new fantasy land i refer to it as india so i dont confuse people but its like an odd mash up between a bunch of south asian countries and the phillipines mikkel ngyuen that last name is pretty vietnamese idk about his first name it's a made up name who cares so i will keep calling him indian but actually the name of the country is iosia and it just has a similar climate to our southern asia and i'm taking inspiration from several south asian cultures for it for example the dot on his forehead is actually a blue swirly thing because he is a wind mage so in this culture you get a tiny tattoo thing when your mage powers start to show

elfybelfry asked: A thing about an OC --- Ikke-Tom has been a heavy smoker for 37 years, so his sense of taste is completely ruined. Thus he hates chocolate because all it reminds him of is eating chewing tobacco.

hmm,

well this is only a tiny bit related but..

Mikkel has synesthesia, so for him smells and sounds are translated to colors in his brain. He dislikes anything with a really strong smell because it creates such a thick vibrant color cloud. but he lives in the fantasy equivalent of India, so every food smells strongly of many powerful spices. as such, he is an extremely picky eater. he hates to eat anything that has a strong enough smell to virtually blind him while he’s trying to eat it

Some HP characters + correct eye colors

Voldy looks terrifying

He’s supposed to be

I CAN REST EASY NOW

if people on tumblr can fucking make it work, then so can the studios that literally get paid trillions to make the graphics look hella.
YALL CAN MAKE DRAGONS LOOK REAL BUT OH NOES WE CANNOT CHANGE THE GENES OF AN ACTOR BECAUSE LOL EYES SO HARD.

idk about the other characters, but they did try to give daniel radcliffe green contacts, and he ended up having adverse reactions to them, like an allergy or something, so they decided not to do that.

  • more asexual representation
  • less Sad Lesbians and more Happy Lesbians
  • more trans representation
  • non-binary representation beyond genderless robots in sci-fi films
  • BETTER AND MORE QUEER REPRESENTATION

i mean ok i haven’t written any stories yet, but all these characters are fully developed in my head, i just need to actually commit to one and write it down .-.

Best backstory. (x)

You know…for a second there…his head shape led me to believe he could be Phineas’s father.

whA T

NO BUT THAT WOULD EXPLAIN WHY PHINEAS IS SO INVENTIVE OH MY GOD

#1 HEADCANON RIGHT THERE

WAIT WAHT

You people are all forgetting that doofenshmirtz has a daughter several years older than phineas.
Also I’m pretty sure ferb is also older than phineas. And Candace seems just a little younger than doofenshmirtz daughter.
